How to use the Cordless Hot Fix Tool
1. Use a heatproof surface such as a ceramic tile to rest heat tool on between applications and while cooling. Set slightly away from work area to prevent burns. 2. Slide battery door open. Insert 3 AA batteries. Close door. 3. Move button to ON position and hold button down to heat. Press tip on tissue or paper. When ready, a scorched spot will appear. 4. Hold tool straight up and touch top of embellishment. Hard pressure is not needed, heat will melt glue. Too much pressure will cause tip to slip. 5. Allow tool to heat up again if laid down or finger is removed from button. Tips & Techniques Always test in a inconspicuous area, such as an inside seam, before starting project. Make sure embellishment is higher than texture/pile of fabric (i.e., velvet, corduroy, terry cloth, etc) Check batteries if tool does not heat. Always use caution and common sense. General Safety Instructions Only touch plastic area of tool. Metal end and tip are extremely hot. Do not attempt to move embellishments with tip of tool. Move with tweezers. Exercise caution to remove any adhesive buildup on the tip. Use tweezers to remove any adhesive or other material on the tip. This heat tool is not meant for commerical use. Never dip into any lqiuid. Do not use near or immerse in water. Do not use with wet hands. Do not use heat tool if damaged. Do not attempt to repair yourself. Return to place of purchase. Carfeully follow "Special Safety Instructions." WARNING! The heat tool becomes hot very quickly and takes time to cool down. Do not touch. The heat generated by the heat tool is capable of causing serious injury. Do not leave the tip on the work piece for more than a few seconds at a time. Prolong contact between the tip and the work piece may cause damage. Heat tool must be used on a stable surface. Heat tool is not to be used if it has been dropped or if there are visible signs of damage. Do not leave the heat tool in the ON position or unattended for any length of time. For proper storage, turn the button to the OFF position. Allow heat tool to cool completely before storing. If heat tool will not be used again for any length of time, after heat tool has cooled, remove the batteries to prevent damage from battery leakage.
